Title:   Calibration of MIPS Stimulators Against Celestial Sources at 24um

Objective:   Measure the output of the MIPS stimulators against the output of known stars.
This template tests the stimulator response at 24um. Longer wavelengths done separately.

Description:     Photometry mode data on a standard star will be collected interspersed with stim flashes
recorded using a 24um stim flash IER.
including flow / state diagram
    Stimulator calibration at 24um.
      1) Observe the star using photometry mode with 3 second integrations and small field dither.
      2) Observe the stimulator.
      3) Repeat 1 and 2 five times.

Place in Schedule:   After aperture door is opened.
(relative to water shed events)

Required Conditions:     MIPS detector aliveness tests must have been performed.
MIPS aperture position must be known well enough to place a star in the FOV.
Backgrounds must be less than the equivalent of 300,000 photons/sec:
        24um test at   3.6E-05 W/m^2/sr
        or T<43K
These values are predicated on the 24um flood illuminator providing 250,000 photons/s at FPA

Resources:

  duration (best estimate)         30 min
  real time downlink (Y / N)         no
special post event actions (Y / N)         no
  Part 1=16DCEs   Part 2=3DCEs   Total=5x(16+3)=95DCEs

Outcome:
description           The conversion factor between instrument units and physical units will
              be available for stimulator observations.
can proceed in parallel with other activity           no, requires dedicated pointing.
must outcome be confirmed before next event / test /activity           no
method of confirmation (sensor TLM, data analysis, etc.)           data analysis
estimate of data turn around if required for confirmation           N/A

Unique or included in planned AOT?
Uses photometry AOT and IER for stimulator flashes.

Contingency Plan:
"What if..."             If the test fails, it must be repeated
