MIPS_247a GeGa Stim Response

IOC-MIPS_247a       10180C
Title:     MIPS 70 and 160 um Detector Response to Stimulators

Objective:     Demonstrate that the MIPS arrays respond to stimulators being turned on.

Description:     A series of integrations will be taken in each array with the stimulators both off and on.
including flow / state diagram     1) Observe for 10 10-second exposures with 70um array. Turn on stimulator and repeat exposure pattern.
      2) Observe for 10 10-second exposures with 160um array. turn on stimulator and repeat exposure pattern.
Whenever stimulators are turned on in this test their voltages and currents should be monitored.

Place in Schedule:   After aperture has been opened.
(relative to water shed events)

Required Conditions:     MIPS detector aliveness tests must have been performed.
Backgrounds must be less than the equivalent of 10,000 photons/sec:
      70um test at 2.60E-08 W/m^2/Sr or T<12K
      160um test at 7.60E-09 " orT<6K

Resources:

  duration (best estimate)         40 min
  real time downlink (Y / N)         No
special post event actions (Y / N)         No
  Generates 40 DCEs.
Outcome:
description         Confirmation that stimulators can be detected.
can proceed in parallel with other activity         Yes
must outcome be confirmed before next event / test /activity         No
method of confirmation (sensor TLM, data analysis, etc.)         Data analysis and sensor TLM
estimate of data turn around if required for confirmation         N/A

Unique or included in planned AOT?       Unique.

Contingency Plan:
"What if..."   If stimulator output is not detected but telemtry indicates that they turned on, the test will
need to be repeated using the redundant stimulators
