MIPS_320a Validate Params Phot

IOC-MIPS_320a     10740C,10830C,10840C,10850C,10860C
Title:   MIPS Photometry/Super Resolution AOT Validation

Objective:   Explore MIPS Phot/SR AOT parameter space

Description:   Execute MIPS Phot/SR AOT for all available selectable parameters, or a sensible range.

Can be the same as:   Select final operational parameters
        Tune IPP file as needed

Several AORs will be constructed that will have :
      1) one small field/large pixel scale AOR for each available exposure time, and for one, two, and three bands
70 micron, 70 + 160 micron, all, do 30 seconds for 24 micron band only -- one band observation
      2) three large field/large pixel scale AOR for all three bands for different 24 micron reference positions -- 3 seconds only
      3) one small field/small pixel scale AOR and one large field/small pixel scale AOR for 70 micron band -- 10 seconds only
      4) do one instance of 1 and 2 for 3 cycles
3 bands for 10 seconds 3 times, small field/small pixel scale 10 seconds 3 times

Place in Schedule:   After aperture door open
    After CTA/instrument cool down:
For 24um, the backgrd radiance must be less than 1.0E-11 W/cm2/sr (< 30K).
    For 70um, the backgrd radiance must be less than 1.0E-12 W/cm2/sr (< 12 K).
    For 160um, the backgrd radiance must be less than 5.4E-13 W/cm2/sr (< 6 K).
It may be possible to split this test into parts executed at different times based
on telescope temperature, but imaging in all three bands is a better use of time.
Location of MIPS apertures must be completed.
Basic instrument commanding and functionality must have been confirmed.
After initial Phot/SR AOT testing is complete.
Before final operational parameters are set and instrument tuning complete.

Required Conditions:   CTA and instrument at nominal operational temperature.
PCS performance:   Absolute pointing 10 arcsecs
        Offsetting nominal

Resources:
  duration (best estimate)         2 hrs
  real time downlink (Y / N)         No
special post event actions (Y / N)         No

Outcome:
description         Perform observations using every selectable parameter available in
the AOT, and doing multiple repeats of the sequences.
can proceed in parallel with other activity         No, dedicated observing.
must outcome be confirmed before next event / test /activity         No
method of confirmation (sensor TLM, data analysis, etc.)         Data analysis
estimate of data turn around if required for confirmation         48 hrs

Unique or included in planned uplink or downlink/analysis tool           Standard pipeline and data analysis tools.
            MIPS Phot/SR AOT required

Contingency Plan:           Revisit uplink sequence/command expansion, or AOT design.
