Objective

Upload a new version of the MIPS Scanpos table

Description

The MIPS Scanpos table is a block of global variables that is used to define a set of standard pointings for the MIPS scan mirror. This block is addressed using the CESCANPOS command. This table includes several positions that might need updating during IOC, including SED Nominal Start, 70um NFOV Nominal, 24um Dark, 70um Dark 1, 70um Dark 2, and 160um Dark. The purpose of this task is to upload a new version of the Scanpos table.

Output and Deliverable Products

We need to maintain a record of the old scanpos table along with the dates during which it was used. We need to keep the same records for all new versions of the scanpos table.

Data Analysis

Step by step analysis:
1. Examine the memory dump or checksum from this task to verify that
   the upload proceeded nominally.

Software Requirements

None

Actions Following Analysis

Pay attention to future operations that use scanpos positions that were updated by this task. Verify that the new values are working well.

Failure Modes and Responses

The activity must be corrected if necessary and repeated.

Additional Notes

This task might need to be run several times during IOC or perhaps not at all. The table includes values for both CE1 and CE2. If we get CE1 well calibrated and then switch to CE2, we might want to tweak the CE2 positions to bring them into agreement with CE1.
