Sequencer Site SIRTF IOC Activity c. 2002

CAID: MIPS-192 Title: Dark Verification, 160 um

System: MIPS Principal: kgordon Deputy:
Objective:
Verify that dark current measurements with
different exposure times scale.

Description:
Point to 160 um dark position and take dark
current
measurements at 3, 4, & 10 seconds and
compare them.

Day:   0 Suggested Order:

Must be preceded by these activities (list by CAID):

Place in Schedule:

Priority:   Necessary

Conditions

Maximum telescope temperature: 9 K

Minimum telescope temperature: 5.5 K

Should activity be repeated if focus changes?   No     Repeat if focus changes by 0 mm

Maximum absolute pointing uncertainty: 0 arcsec (1 sigma radial)

Maximum precision offset uncertainty: 0 arcsec  (1 sigma radial)

Observatory configuration: standard

Resources

Duration:   15.1 minutes

Real time downlink:   No

Data Volume (uncompressed): 168 Mbits

List Blocks, AORs, SERs, IERs, or unique sequences required (uplink): Dark IERs: mips_drk160um_10s35, mips_drk160um_3s101, mips_drk160um_4s77

List Analysis tools required (downlink):   DAT - mips_sloper, mips_caler, mips_enhancer

Outcome

Estimate of data turn around:   24 hours

Description: Create 160um dark current calibration images. Standard output of mips_enhancer.

Can proceed in parallel with other activity: No

Must outcome be confirmed before next activity: No

Method of Confirmation:   Create dark current images. Compare the scale the all the images to 10 second and see if they are equivalent.

Success criteria: Good dark current measurement. No weird behaviors (check ramps, stim latents, etc).

Contingency plan:  It's a calibration frame. If there are large differences between exposure times then we will have to start taking darks with all the exposure times routinely.
