Objective

Validate that MIPS 24 µm photometry AOT is ready for the beginning of science operations.

Description

Execute MIPS 24 µm photometry AOT for a broad range of parameter selections. For the final validation, both the small field and large field options are tested.

Data Collected

This task is implemented by commanding one cycle of 24 µm small and large field photometry for each exposure time (3, 10, 30 seconds). For the small field AOR, 3 cycles and 20 cycles are commanded for 10 s and 3 s exposure times respectively. There is also an AOR which tests the 3 s small field option for a 3x3 raster map (1 cycle). The large field AOT is tested at three different reference positions for 3 s exposures. In addition, large field is tested for 10 cycles (3 s). The target, as in MIPS-320, is Nu Dor, a B star which should span the range from 3 - 30 sec exposures without exceeding the MIPS-24 dynamic range.
