Sequencer Site SIRTF IOC Activity c. 2002

CAID: MIPS-326 Title: 24 um Scan AOT Validation - preliminary

System: MIPS Principal: dlp Deputy: mrieke
Objective:
To do a quick check of MIPS Scan AOT using the
24um channel.

Description:
Execute MIPS Scan AOT just to check that it is
performing as expected.

A Scan Map AOT at fast rate of 1 degree,
back-and-forth
without cross scan step.

Tune IPP file as needed .

Day:   45.8638888888963 Suggested Order:   H200

Must be preceded by these activities (list by CAID):   MIPS-130

Place in Schedule:   After aperture door open After CTA/instrument cool down: For 24um, the backgrd radiance must be less than 1.0E-11 W/cm2/sr (< 30K). Location of MIPS apertures must be completed. Basic instrument commanding and functionality must have been confirmed. Before final operational parameters are set and instrument tuning complete.

Priority:   Critical

Conditions

Maximum telescope temperature: 33 K

Minimum telescope temperature: 5.5 K

Should activity be repeated if focus changes?   No     Repeat if focus changes by 0 mm

Maximum absolute pointing uncertainty: 10 arcsec (1 sigma radial)

Maximum precision offset uncertainty: 1.4 arcsec  (1 sigma radial)

Observatory configuration: standard

Go/No Go criteria: CE, arrays, CSMM working; scan rate synched to slew rate

Resources

Duration:   18 minutes

Real time downlink:   No

Data Volume (uncompressed): 26 Mbits

List Blocks, AORs, SERs, IERs, or unique sequences required (uplink): Standard pipeline and data analysis tools. MIPS Scan AOT required

List Analysis tools required (downlink):   Standard MIPS pipeline; image analysis tools; telemetry analysis tools

Outcome

Estimate of data turn around:   24 hours

Description: A 24um scan map of one degree using fast scan rate.

Can proceed in parallel with other activity: No

Must outcome be confirmed before next activity: No

Method of Confirmation:   Data analysis will show whether CSMM goes where it is told at the same time as the spacecraft.

Success criteria: Data is completely downlinked. CSMM properly synched to slew.

Contingency plan:  Revisit uplink sequence/command expansion, or AOT design. Revisit CSMM parameter space. Delays beginning of MIPS science observations.
