Sequencer Site SIRTF IOC Activity c. 2002

CAID: MIPS-336 Title: 70 um PSF

System: MIPS Principal: krs Deputy: dhines
Objective:
Detailed characterization of the MIPS PSF
in both 70 micron coarse and fine scale images.

Description:
A bright stellar PSF will be moved in a 3x3
grid of positions over the 70 micron array.
At each position 3 sec integrations will be taken
in an 8x8 grid stepping by 1/4 pixel, in order to
sub-sample the PSF. In coarse mode the 3x3 grid
will be observed three times, once at the center
of the MIPS FOV, and two other times spaced above
and below by 1/2 array FOV. In fine mode the
3x3 grid will be observed only once, but using
two different targets with red and blue color.
