CAID: MIPS-345 | Title: 24um Optimum Operating Temperature | |
System: MIPS | Principal: dlp | Deputy: dmkelly, jmuzerolle |
Objective: | Determine what temperature yields the best overall performance of the 24um array. |
Description: | Dark current, responsivity, and latent image behavior need to be characterized as a function of detector operating temperature. At each of five detector temperature settings (use same set as in CTA): (1) Take 25 30-second exposures (2 cycles small field 24um photo AOR) with the scan mirror in the dark position. (2) Using the 10 second exposures, measure a moderately bright star using a small field dither pattern (1 cycle). (3) Move the scan mirror to place the 160um array into the dark. (4) Take 25 10-second exposures (3 cycles small field) with the 160um array to check for scattered emission from the 24um array. |
