Sequencer Site SIRTF IOC Activity c. 2002

CAID: MIPS-910 Title: IOC Darks, 24 um

System: MIPS Principal: jmuzerolle Deputy: kgordon
Objective:
Dark current and read noise measurements.

Description:
point to the 24 micron dark position and
take 10 sec dark measurements using the Dark IER
and 10 sec read noise measurements using the
Read Noise IER.

Resources

Duration:   15 minutes

Real time downlink:   No

Data Volume (uncompressed): 168 Mbits

List Blocks, AORs, SERs, IERs, or unique sequences required (uplink): Dark IERs: mips_drk24um_10s35 Read Noise IER: mips_rn24um_10s50

List Analysis tools required (downlink):   DAT - mips_sloper, mips_caler, mips_enhancer

Outcome

Estimate of data turn around:   24 hours

Description: Create 24um dark current calibration image. Standard output of mips_enhancer. Determine read noise.

Can proceed in parallel with other activity: No

Must outcome be confirmed before next activity: No

Method of Confirmation:   Create dark current image. Create read noise measurement and compare to previous measurements.

Success criteria: Good dark current measurement. No weird behaviors (check ramps, stim latents, etc). Nominal read noise values.

Contingency plan:  It's a calibration frame. As long as any changes between calibration image are reasonable and understandable, things are fine. If not, then any problems need to be fixed so the next calibration image is taken correctly.
