Summary: We need to do flats/illumination corrections for the 24, 70, and (possibly) 160 micron arrays which are dependent on scan mirror angle. Our current IOC/SV plans do not include enough such observations, especially for large source photometry and scan maps at slow and medium scan rate.
In order to achieve scan mirror dependent flats/illumination corrections in a reasonable amount of time, it is assumed that they do not change as a function of time (i.e., from campaign-to-campaign). There is reason to think that this assumption may not valid at some small level (24 micron spot movement).
We already have a number of Flats/Illumination Corrections scheduled in IOC/SV which can be used to create the necessary calibration files. The changes of the Ge biases, stim flash amplitudes, and data lost to solar flares must be taken into account. Basically, data during or after campaign D2 for 24, campaign O for 70, and campaign J for 160 are useful for our purposes. The tasks which satisfy all the necessary criteria are:
Scheduled number reflects current date (21 Nov 2003). Target is 100 DCEs at each scan mirror position.
