[Dean and Jocelyn - note a new action nominally to you, a couple
paragraphs down...]

Hi All,

The new versions are available from the IOC TestTracking site, under the
materials for internal review link, I think:
http://mips/Rincon/Released/IOC/TestTrack/InternalRevMarch03/
The new versions are near the top, and are clearly marked 'Version 2'.

I tracked down the difference in totals I had and Karl had for his
campaigns. In 2 cases he used allocated times different from those
in the version 2.2F timeline, which is what I had provided and I
think everybody else used. This brings up 2 points:
        1) We need a consistent set of numbers to compare against.
        2) A further mystery in the OET scheduling process has been
revealed. Namely, the allocations they use vary between
TOL versions (this is assuming that Karl used a different
TOL version to get his allocations).
I think the right thing to do here is ask Miles et al. if they have
some minimum allocation per task, and their TOLs include at least
that much time but possibly more, or if they just change the allocations
as they perceive a need. I hope that they have a list of minimum
allocations they work against.

Jocelyn and Dean: Could you check with Miles re. the question just
posed? If they do work against minimum allocations, I'll have to
regenerate listings of those for us to compare against in our review
exercise. Ugggghhhh.

I went through the reviews putting in the 15min per anneal, and deleting
the 'Time Used' and 'diff' values in all campaigns where we do anneals.
Cogs should recompute those values and enter them in their listings.

Also, go ahead and make the FPS changes we discussed, and try to contact
the principals w/ missing IERs/AORs and either get the darn things or
get their best estimate of how long their tasks will take. Probably
best to include some padding if they give you an estimate - how
about if we use a consistent padding fraction of 20%. If useful,
document the remaining uncertainties in the notes for your campaigns.

Finally, review the notes for your campaigns and
amend/delete them as appropriate if the note refers to actions
already identified in the
detailed actions list.

For now, hold on to your revised versions. I'll get back in touch
tomorrow to collect them or set something up so you guys can put
them on the website.

When? When? you ask. Since technical difficulties have delayed my
sending this out by 1/2 a day, lets make the nominal deadline for
Cogs to revise things tomorrow, Thursday, at Noon. Early campaigns
are more important to get finished, so focus on those.

Cheers,
John

P.S. Connection from Bigelow is still spotty, but OK. I may have
intermittent difficulties w/ email etc.
