Outreach


I am interested in engaging the public in our exploration of the Universe. I enjoy working with the MESCIT tutoring program, coordinated by Amber Laughing, giving public talks and working with public observatories. My outreach activities are listed in my CV

The above picture shows me helping out at the 2012 Transit of Venus event run by the Cornell Astronomy Department. I made a little card to show visitors the difference between the sunspots and Venus when they looked through the telescope. Despite many clouds, we were fortunate enough to witness Venus enter the solar disk before sunset. This was a nearby version of the exoplanet transits that I research.
