Assessment

Assessment is a powerful tool to evaluate student learning. Tests may provide feedback as to whether students have learned content, homework assigmnents can allow students to delve deeply into their own derivations and problem solving skills and projects can motivate students to explore their own topics of interest.

Rubric

I developed the idea of adding a celestial navigation portion to a future Astronomy 101 class. To evaluate student achievement in celestial navigation, I created a sample rubric.
